Under new management and operated by the St Austell brewery of Cornwall, The Bridge Inn has undergone a pleasing transformation and is proving even more popular with Woodlands Holidays' guests throughout the year. 


Rediscovering Tradition with a Contemporary Twist

Rooted in the historic, rustic charm of an English country pub, combined with a contemporary menu and friendly staff, you can enjoy a drink by the fire, or choose to sit in the conservatory space which has plenty of light. On brigher days, there is plenty of room outside to relax with a drink and watch the local scene.




The Bridge Inn - a taste of Exmoor


The true heart of The Bridge Inn lies in its culinary offerings. Under the stewardship of chefs dedicated to crafting dishes that celebrate local produce, you can enjoy the freshest catches sourced from nearby waters to the finest local meats and produce. Indulge in pub classics like the succulent West Country steaks, The Bridge 'Seriously Beefy, Beef Burger', fish and chips and of course, a selection of vegetarian meals.


As people's appetite's vary, The Bridge sensibly offers its main courses in two sizes.


The Bridge Inn - Sunday roast


An essential feature of any weekend in the English countryside is a delicious Sunday Roast. The Bridge Inn opens at 12 noon to start serving Sunday lunch where you can choose from overnight roasted topside of Hereford beef; twelve hours roasted lamb shoulder; braised pork belly or The Bridge vegan nut roast. All served with crispy roast Hoffman potatoes, carrots, parsnips, custon roasted beetroot, savoy cabbage, topped with rich gravy and Yorkshire pudding.

The Bridge Inn’s bar is not just a place to grab a drink; it’s an opportunity to experience the locals ales and famous ciders of Somerset. From Exmoor Ale, Jail Ale to Proper Job to Rib tickler still cloudy Cider. You can also try the local artisanal spirits, such as Wicked Wolf Gin™ made from 11 botanicals distilled on Exmoor and then expertly blended on the banks of the picturesque River Lyn, North Devon.
